Hi! My name is Caleb Sanburn

Sometimes in life, we can feel stuck in ways that no longer work, disconnected from ourselves and others, and feeling as if there is more than what we are experiencing now. Despite what you've lived through, I believe that each person has the capacity to heal from their suffering.

Caleb Sanburn, Headwaters Counseling, about Caleb Sanburn

My approach

Through a compassionate and relational approach, I use curiosity to help you understand the unique and integral parts of your true self while providing insight and tools that can create meaningful relationships and overcome life adversity. Therapy with me consists of an integrative approach of Psychodynamic Attachment and Narrative Therapies, with principles and skills from Dialectal Behavioral Therapy applied throughout. My favorite part of therapy is helping people grow through difficult life events towards compassion and understanding of themselves as they create authentic connection with others.

More about me

My experience working in spiritual leadership, a variety of mental health settings, and as a middle school teacher — as well as my own journey with mental health and relationship struggles — informs my approach to remain balanced between empathy, understanding, honesty, and real life solutions.

Outside of the therapy room, you can often catch me on a local ski hill, spending time with friends, reading a good book, or enjoying time outside with my dog.
